As people we evolved to dominate this planet by way of our intelligence, that intelligence was driven by the rapid expansion of our brains by way of nutrition, particularly from omega 3 fats (read great nutrition). It’s hard to be on a diet, and it’s even harder on a low carb diet. That is mainly due to the fact that our between-meal snacks are mostly loaded with carbs. There are chips, chocolate bars, pretzels, and candies that we typically fill up on even when we’re really hungry. Perhaps you stand for moments on end before the vending machine, contemplating the snacks being sold there. There are just so few low carb snacks in those machines.
