According to the World Health Organization, about 87% of the world’s vision impaired reside in developing countries. Your old eye-glasses can change their life quality considerably. Apart from helping with pollution, giving away your old eye-glasses will certainly make you feel great.

Get a water barrel

Why use water from in the property, which you are charged for, when there is a great and free resource from nature – the rain! You don’t need to go to the expense of paying out for a barrel, even though there are lots of different types in the shops, when you can make your own.

Rather than putting them in a tumble dryer, let your clothes dry outdoors

This type of technology was used by our mothers and you will never guess, it still works! By drying your washing outside you save money on your electric bills as well as helping the environment. Forget about what the neighbours think, they probably have the same worries as you. Be proud of supporting the planet, green is in and you can do your bit easily.

Forget the bath, have a shower

The amount of water that a bath takes can increase your bills a lot also staying in the bath or shower too long can create health issues for you . You can drink the water from your taps without trouble but with the high concentration of chlorine in it, the fumes created when you heat it can have a significant impact on your health. In addition a great tip is to use an attachment on your shower that cuts down the amount of water it lets out.

Go to work in the same transport as a colleague

Car sharing has been a well-known topic for a number of years, also heavily promoted by the authorities. Unfortunately, as a Toronto lofts professional I need to drive a lot.
